Default College LIFE!!!

Sooo back to reality! Back to the classroom, books, and basketball! It's my second year and I'm excited about returning, but that excitement is mainly for the new basketball season

I made this thread so that I can express situations, ideas, problems, and watever else that comes to mind during college this year. Hopefully you all will provide feedback in my random adventures!

And for my fellow college students feel free to join me!

COLLEGE<3 lol
I live a block away from my college so my mom wouldnt let me waste 9K on room & board
But I'm on the cheer team and I'm gonna join a society (whittier college's term for "sorority") so I won't be a complete outcast
If i can find the time, I wanna join a radio show that my school has and I wanna participate in theatre!
So even though, technically I won't be sleeping at school, I'll still pretty much be living there.
I love keeping busy!!
Only thing I don't like keeping busy with is the work "/
o well. that why i'm going to college anyway.

Hey Yvonne and Alex. Hang in there. I'm trying to as well. It is so hard to balance everything. When I got my first degree in college I was in a dorm for 3 1/2 years and had everything paid for so I could just hang out with friends, skip class, and eat at the cafeteria on campus.
Now I'm trying to pay rent and bills, be married, cook/clean, go to work, and hang out with people while keeping up with school stuff. I'm doing my whole last year online so I have to really stick to a schedule. And now I really want to do good so I'm not wasting money and so I can find a career that will pay me real $ someday.
So far, so good. But I just know something crazy is going to happen because me and computers do NOT get along. So I know something funky will happen now that I'm so dependent on it.
That is cool that you all are involved in college activities. Good job. I played basketball in college for just a year. That made my life insanely busy because I had practice at 6:30AM! I had fun but it was too time consuming with games being a few hours away.
What classes are you all taking?
I'm taking Business Law, Retail Management, Business Math, and an Advanced Sales class.
Right now I'm stressing a little because I need to find a testing center where my school can send my Math tests. This is hard since I'm in CA and my school is in WI. I'm suppose to get a call tomorrow from the testing center here to discuss it. Hopefully it works out!

I'm at the part in my academic career where I have no idea what the name of my classes are but I know where to go and what time they start. Right now, I'm finishing up 2 classes for my degree and then I will be offically done.

However, I've been looking at other schools to get another degree. So now I'm turning into a professional student.

Lucia, you can always go back to college. My grandmother didn't go until she was in her late 40s after raising 5 girls. Now she's a teacher in Texas with a master's degree. I think it was last year that the college that I attended had its oldest student graduate. I think she was in her late 70s. So its definitely possible.

Good for you Alex. That is a great outlook on college life. Some college students would be so angry that they couldn't live at school that they would waste the experience and miss out on everything. But you arent doing that. You are taking change and making the best of it. Way to go.

Good point Luv.
Myself, when I went to college, I drove back and forth as I lived around 30 minutes away.
Good luck Alex !!!!!!!!!!
