eek Scary TV logos

I had no idea other people had this issue with scary tv logos and/or tv credits. When I was young and watching THE LUCY SHOW, I had to close my eyes or not look at the tv when this closing credit appeared because the cartoon pic of Lucy's head just freaked me out.

At the 33 second mark you will see the Lucy head I am referring to:

Of course looking at it now, it is not scary. Just weird how things like a tv logo can cause people to be scared. Apparently there are a lot of people out there who were afraid of these tv logos:

That CBS Eye logo use to scare the crap out of me as a Kid. Just that one eye on the screen all the time, staring back at you like. I probably pooped my diapers a couple times from that.

It was because of your fear of Small World that reminded me of that Lucy head. Of course, unlike you I am no longer afraid.

Oh man. There are lots of people who were afraid of things like that. Growing up there was no internet so I had no idea that other people had a fear like that. Reading other tv boards it is so weird how many more people out there had the same stupid fear.

The CBS logo never scared me, just fills me with a desire to throw something at the tv screen when I see it now, since they stopped new episodes of The King Of Queens. The most innovative, funny, couple comedy I've ever watched.

What's left are unfunny shows with regurgitated scripts already seen on a thousand other shows.

So... back on topic. The CBS logo can be scary because when you see it you know that friggin crap is sure to follow!

Other than Survivor, an occasional Dr. Phil and an occasional Price is Right, I don't watch that channel. Maybe just my local news but as far as sitcoms or drama, nope.

I dont know about scary logos but earlier today was the first time in well over 10 years I saw the intro to Pee Wee's playhouse? Anyone remember that show? I use to watch it as a kid when i was like 6 or 7 . I watched it just now and Im like wtf didI just watch here it kind of scared me lookin at it now haha

That intro is one of the most doped up wierdest intros I have ever seen. Were the creators of this show high on some kind of drugs when they created this show? I really think Paul Reuben was the way his is acting and jumping all around the set in the intro. I never seen a grown man act like this for an intro on a show before hahah.

Serious would any of you sit on a chair that could talk back to you? Everything in his playhouse had eyes and can talk to you. That was on wacky crazy show and still think fondly of it since i watched it when I was younger but man I cant think of anything like that being sober.

Here is his intro just in case you forgotten it or never seen it before

OMG that brings back memories. My daughters watched that show. Looking at that intro now, it gives me memories of how loud it was and it still gives me a headache. Damn! someone not only was high when they did this show but you had to be on meth I guess to jump around the way Pee Wee did.

Cowboy Curtis...was that his name?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdV0e-rM8G4

Do you guys recognize that award-winning actor?

Yea I forgot Laurence Fishborne was on this show hahha. Hard to believe he was on that show.

I seriously feel like i have a hangover or soemthing after seeing that intro..damn Pee Wee, and we maybe hearing from our old pal Pee Wee again sooner than we think I heard there is suppose to a Pee Wee Playhouse : The Movie coming out either next year or 2011.

Something seems wierd about a now 57 Year old running a playhouse with talking furniture.

Another Pee Wee movie? I haven't heard this. Would people even want to see this? I mean, my girls outgrew Pee Wee. I would hope they don't want to see him again.

I hope not either... hahaha. Yea its actually in post-production right now I'm actually interested in seeing how this movie would do in todays time lol

Supposedly Paul Reuben wants or was trying to talk Johnny Dep into being the new pee wee herman. i dont know if it was for this movie or a new project I would definetely pay to see that.

You know, Johnny Depp I think would do a good job at that. He does all those quirky characters in movies, so why not do one that looks and acts like he is on meth?

I think alot of thse shows you see is based on the creators meeting one night and just getting high out of their minds, on meth, exstacy, weed..or maybe all three and coming up with wierd stuff.

I think Spongebob is another one that was created that way. Bobby's world too, anyone remember that show with Howie Mandel. I felt even more drunk than i already was after rewatching that intro one night.. Forget about Hey Arnold, Bobby is the original football head.
