I am a huge Reds fan but they had their Glory Years before I was old enough to follow baseball.
So basically I didnt know them as the "Big Red Machine" and now they arent good enough to even classify as a " Little Red Wagon "

I can understand liking Manny's hitting ability but now we find out it's all fake with the drugs. So I don't respect him anymore.

I know what you mean about not being old enough to know the Reds when they were good. That is how I feel about my Knicks. Although, they were good in the mid 90's and I of course remember that but they weren't great where they won.

Those Knicks teams were pretty good, their best chance to win it all was those two years Jordan retired and came really close by making the finals but couldnt get it done.

Moving back to baseball, My Atlanta braves have been lighting it up lately, it looks like they are making a serious push to get into the Wildcard Hunt. Our GM has assembled a really good young team. They aint the Braves of the 90's.. actually I dont think any team can reach that level again unless they are called the Yankees. But this new team they got now has really grown on me. I wish the Phillies would lose a game already. lol

Yea, Philly annoys me as well. I just don't like them. The Braves do look good from what I know but I must admit that I don't want the National leage much since the Yanks are in the American League. I do hope that they get the wild card. I always like to see teams in the playoffs who haven't been there in a while. For instance I loved when the Cubs made it those few years. But they couldn't get it done.

Atlanta has as good a chance as any for the wildcard. The phils will win the division easy more than likely. Same for LA in the west. Whoever wins the central will probably have around 90 wins so that puts the braves in a good position to make a run at Wildcard.
Unlike The AL where you know the runner-up of Boston and New York will more than likely get WC.

Yeah I know what ya mean. What is so wierd is everyone including the media are treating Manny like he was just injured or retired or something.
I mean giving Manny updates and "showing" every at bat.
The guy was suspended and as you said....."fake" so they dont need to put him on a pedestal anymore.

Well, I will keep my fingers crossed for your team. And the Yanks took over the lead in the division as of last night so I am excited.

By your team, you surely mean Ryan's Braves because waiting for my Reds to make playoffs would give you finger cramps.
We have an owner that "wants" ( ) to win but wont spend money to get help for our offense.
I was hoping for at least a 500 record this year but chances of that are dwindling fast.

Congrats to St Louis for landing Matt Holiday to hit behind Albert Pujols. Though, they are divisional rivals to my Reds, they got a bigtime piece while My Reds set back twidling their thumbs !
STL could suddenly now present a challenge to LA/Phills in the NL !

Dont worry Luv, as bad as the Reds are this year, you, me and JP could beat the reds by ourselves.
