NBA playoffs start today.
Ryan bud, I know you are a Hawks fan but there is a story going around in KY that Atlanta is rumored to pursue Rick Pitino after the playoffs are over. They said some werent happy with Woodson last season but the Hawks late season success bought him more time.

Anyway....Getting Calapari to KY was GREAT but if Your archrival's head coach leaves ( Pitino ) for another school ,that would be icing on cake.

Yea I heard about this rumor as well. As good of a coach Rick Pitino is I hope its not true. I remember his last stint in the NBA with the Boston Celtics bak around 10 years ago, it really didnt work out too well. Plus I think it would mess up the chemistry the Hawks have already built the past few years.

I think its just alot of talk and nothing more, I think he will stay in Kentucky.

Speaking of the Hawks we smoked the crap out the Miami today 90-64. That has to be one of the lowest playoff game points I can remember for a team. Im still not putting anything past Wade, that dude will explode at anytime.

There are alot of upsets happening to Both the Bulls and Sixers have won game 1 over the Celtics and Magic. I dont know which team its gonna be, but I defientely see an upset happening this round in one of those series.

Couple of points Ryan.
First , Pitino did struggle with Celtics but remember, he had success with Knicks prior to taking KY job. In fact, no one believed he would leave NY when KY job came open way back when.
His problem with Celtics was he tried to use tooooo many KY players who were great in college under his system but not NBA stars.
I refer to him stocking his team with guys like McCarty and Pope and Delk.
Yes you are right, he FLOPPED with celtics.

Second, Pitino is getting in hot water here for ...let's just say allegations of extra curricular activites (if ya get my drift ).
That and with Calipari now at UK, I could see him leaving.

As far as Hawks, yeah Woodson would be getting a raw deal cause he has had that team improving every year.

Tough loss in game two though.

Agree with you on that one. I think that series is the best first round series in playoff history. I cant even think of a first round series with this much excitement. Every single game but Game 3 has went into overtime. Last night one went into Triple Overtime thats insane. I hope The Bulls win! Derrick Rose is a Stud!

As far as my Hawks/Heat Series go, this has turn into an unexpected Grudge Match. This series has shades of the Knicks/Heat Series of the late 90's in terms of how Physical this game has gotten. From Zaza's black eye, To Horford injury to Wade getting pushed around and hurting his head and back. To Wades hard foul on Mario West. I have a feeling a fight might break out soon.

And I was actually surprised that in Atlanta when Wade was knocked his head on the floor and and was out for a good 2 minutes getting to his feet the whole arena booed Wade out of the building and booed some more when he got helped up. We have a chance to close it out tonight and I hope we go but this isnt gonna be pretty at all.

I couldnt believe Rondo didnt get thrown out last night after throwing Heinrich into the table.
I figure there will be quick whistles for the remaining games in both series.

Yea I think there will be whistle all over the place too.

I really think Rondo should be suspended...He fouled Brad Miller hard the other night too causing him to bleed on his head. Garnett nees to shut his mouth he's dressed in a suite not even playing and is still trash talking Bulls players.

Damn Hawks got blowed out tonight by the heat. I dont understand this series, none of the games have been close every single game someone has been blown out. lol Game 7 for both of these series will be must see tv.

Hawks series is wierd. Everygame a blowout and yet it is going 7.
Dont see that very often.

Dallas/Denver should be good series.
Also I think Houston may win a couple of games vs LA.

We finally were able to get rid of the Miami Heat... 7 games but we did it. I knew The Hawks could do it but Dwayne Wade is such a wildcard sometimes you dont know what he could do.

Now we go up against Lebron and Cleveland I dont expect us to win this series but I at least we can make a series out of this.

Man I hate Chicago lost but the Celtics/Magic Series should be a good one, Im pulling for the Magic in that one.

Yea I hope so.. I noticed too that the national media especially this year has been disrespecting the hawks. They didnt even think we would make it to the playoffs this year, then alot of them said Miami Heat would go to the second round to face Lebron even though we were the higher seed and even now saying this series with Cleveland is gonna be a sweep.

You know i was even on ESPN.com's website earler today and I saw a poll on there asking which series do you think will be more surprising this round... Rockets vs. Lakers or Heat Vs. Cavs? Yea they actually had the Heat on there instead of The Hawks way after Game 7 was over. The way they acting It's like the Hawks are the annoying cousin or uncle that keeps popping up out of nowhere and you just dont want admit to people your related to them.

Also I think its safe to say Rick Pitino isnt coming here next season Woody saved his job by helping the hawks advance this year.. so I think that can be put to rest.

Maybe he can coach the LA Clippers, now thats a mess that needs to be cleaned up really bad. A really bad mess..... I honestly cant think of a professional sports team thats more of a joke than the clippers.

It's like they dont even try to improve themselves and Dunleavy has stayed was past his expiration date.

Sad to hear about Chuck Daly today. He was a great coach and sounded like a great individual by all his friends.
Thoughts and prayers to his family.
