Not exactly sure which forum to put this in so I will try this one.
I just want to say This week something wonderful happened.
Yes ....I got my autographed picture from Leah Remini. Yes......"our" Leah !!
It was alittle less than three weeks.
Just to share the story I shared with Leah.
Till basically 7 -8 years ago, I didnt watch much tv except sports.
In dec 2001, my daughter was born. Due to complications during pregnancy, she was born two months premature and was hooked up to a machine for the the first several days after delivery. I almost lost my wife/daughter both on the table as a matter of fact.
Anyway after several months when my daughter was in the clear, my wife returned to her job which was a evening hours type job, with me watching my daughter at night.
With my wife working evenings mon-fri, she just wanted to relax on saturdays. I thought about trying to find something to tape during the week that we could watch on weekends.
Yeah...you guessed it. One day, I thought I would try that show, KOQ.
(having never seen it before)
I taped it and we loved it and I began taping everyday as it was in syndication in many markets.
I am not a fan of " Friends, ELR ", or alot of other shows so KOQ was all I taped.
My little girl began to grow and even when playing toys in her room, she would hear the music and come in to the tv room and always say the last line: "Dwivin home to you". (she couldnt pronounce driving lol)
Today...my little girl is six and her/my wife/myself all still love KOQ and Leah.
KOQ has a special part in my life, because of the way I discovered it and what was going on in my life at that time.
Even the episodes we have seen several times, still supply us laugh after laugh as we watch over and over on dvd.
Hope I didnt bore you all too much but just wanted to share my story.
I really love this forum and it is great to be a fan of someone like Leah who is a great, beautiful actress/mother/wife who also stays in touch with her fans.
Leah...thanks so much ! You are really one of a kind !!!
BTW.....I had her sign it "To Serenity" which is my daughter.
Below is a pic of Serenity now:
