**KoQ Bash '09**

We've thought about it and talked about it, but we've never actually
planned one.
I thought we could begin the process now and maybe have one,
say, next year?

Was wondering what time of year would be best for everyone.
I think we can eliminate winter from consideration for all who would be flying out of cold weather climates. You are at the mercy of mother nature, and who wants to be stranded in an airport for hours on end?
As much as I'd LOVE to get out of here this time of year, I just don't think it's worth the risk.

My thought was to have us pick a hotel in the L.A. area and meet up there.
Maybe plan to fly in on a friday and stay 'til sunday/monday?

Would love to get some imput from everyone on what you would like to do.
My only request is that we have breakfast at Vivian's (http://www.venturablvd.com/vivians-cafe/index.html) on saturday morning. You never know who you might run into there. ;)

Just happened to mention the plans for the bash next year.
He wants to be "kept informed on this gathering."

Perhaps if we could get enough people to participate in this, we should look into getting a hotel with some small banquet/conference rooms.
We could rent one of those and set it up for an informal meet and greet
with members of the cast and crew. :biggrinking:

I will now add in some good news.
It was suggested to me that we might consider staying at the Universal City Hilton (http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/BURUCHF-Hilton-Los-Angeles-Universal-City-California/index.do). Depending on the weekend, it looks like you can get a room for a little over 200.00 a night. Not bad for L.A. ;)
Those coming alone could room with someone and save money that way.
Here's the really good news: It is less than 1 mile from Vivian's!!
Hopefully they have a shuttle going to and from the airport, or you will spend 50.00 or more each way. :(

I will now add in some good news.

Hopefully, there will be a shuttle. If you fly into LAX, it's more expensive for transportation to the hotel as opposed to Burbank. But, flying into Burbank will probably be more expensive!! Ahh!! :mad:

If Leah gets a new show, her hiatus from that show will probably be mid-late April - early August. That's just a rough guesstimate.

so that leaves us from mid April - mid May and from late June to very early August. Probably want to take out the weekend of July 4th, too.

i was thinking....how many people are actually planning to come to this because if it is a little bit then that's fine but if it is a lot people then we may need to rent some place to have it and i am guessing that LA ain't cheap so if a lot of people are coming maybe charge a small fee or do something to help pay for the place if one needs to be rented....

If you went, you'd remember Roger calls me "Evil" Dave. I'm not really, it was him! It would be great to meet with the fans of the show and talk about what it was like to be there and be part of it all. I know I was at a job fair last week and it took me 45 minutes just to get inside the place the lineup was so long. I never been to a job fair with that many people outside before. You would think there was some kind of concert or something going on inside.

You know it is bad when the news has job fairs mentioned in the first 10 minutes. As far as me burning food in the microwave.. yea:rotflmao: I put a piece of chicken in my microwave a couple months ago to heat up and not even 30 seconds in there the whole micowave has steam coming out it. I just went to go use the bathroom real quick come back and the whole kitchen is smoking. It took a whole week to get the smell out of my kitchen lol

The westcoast is so nice. I'm from IN, but have lived in Vegas for a couple of years now. It's SO MUCH fun !!!

I live In Toronto right now but Im originally from Atlanta so I can relate to the relocation thing. My heart and soul is in Atlanta for life but Toronto is fun city and really like it here, its just another version NYC, but cleaner but after 9 years of living here I still am not use to this cold weather.

My finance and I have live in Vegas. Visit somewhere before moving there. There's not much humidity here in LV, but in the summer WOW it's hot. Last summer record breaking hit of 117. If there is a breeze it's like a blow dryer heat on you :eek: Thans goodness for good A/C though:laughing out loud:

I always have richly scented candles because I just love for the air to smell good and whenever the door opens it's like a scent of freshness.

My finance and I have live in Vegas. Visit somewhere before moving there. There's not much humidity here in LV, but in the summer WOW it's hot. Last summer record breaking hit of 117. If there is a breeze it's like a blow dryer heat on you :eek: Thans goodness for good A/C though:laughing out loud:

I always have richly scented candles because I just love for the air to smell good and whenever the door opens it's like a scent of freshness.

No offense JP, but IN is boring. I love all the city lights, the mountains, the atmosphere just the vibe here period.

I wouldnt want to live in Arizona thats the only west coast state I wouldnt move to, a friend of mine in Atlanta has cousins living out there and he was telling me once that their kids cant go outside because of snakes and scorpians all in their backyard. I dunno if I want to live somewhere where I have to take a shotgun with me just to check the mailbox.:laughing out loud: Knowing my bad aim too it makes it that much more dangerous lool

I would hate for someone with bad aim to have a shot gun :eek: We use to live pretty close to the mountains here and we moved pretty close to south central area. I haven't experinced and scorpions out here, but I know they are around. I have seen lizards and mice though.

Yea I never seen a scropian up close before and I dont think I want to either.

Mice are annoying as hell. I cant stand the way they tweak their nose and try to walk and crawl to the side of the wall. Trying to sneak around the place like a big shot.


I remember one time as a kid, we lived in a condo back then and we live right in the main lobby of the complex where everything is, the laundry room, elevator etc. Well one morning when Im going off to school my Mom opens the door and whats outside flapping its wings by our door outside? A Bat.. We close the door and use the back door that was in my room that leads outside. We open that door and there is another bat at that door.

Getting punked by two bats holding us hostage in our house, pure ownage. Eventually we got someone to come take care of them but that was scary.
