I have been told that this show is pretty much ALL VIP.
Maybe a few general admissions will get in. I sincerly hope so for all of you that have tix. If you are one of the fortunate ones, we look forward to hearing about your experience. ;)

BTW, since this is the finale, please don't post any spoilers without giving fair warning that you are doing so. Thanks.

However, I am very excited because I have contacts at the show and we have 4 tickets for the final taping this thursday - excited and sad at the same time.

Ocathees, yes it is going to be sad. I have read the last 2 ep. scripts and there are some emotional moments in them.
However, I truly believe almost everyone will be happy with the way this show ends.

I have a friend that works on the show. So if you see Peggy, tell her
J.P. and the LRG said hello! She'll know. ;)

We just got off the train at the last stop for Shutty Town.
I will do my best to give you any info you want without spoiling it for you.
As you can imagine it was a very emotional evening for both the cast and the fans of the show. For those of you that were at the taping on 03-09-07 you know that parts of the filming were both funny and sobering at the same time. We were #7-#10 in line to get into the taping (we got there at 10am). When the time came they took in the first 73 people (which was surpising since they only took the first 35 on 03-09-07). There are a few twists and turns that even us diehard fans might not have seen coming. Holly (Nicole Sullivan) was in alot of seens and had some very funny lines. She has great timing too. We sat right next to Evil Dave (the music man) who gave me a script of the last episode which we got autographed by the cast. Merrin Dungey (Kelly Palmer) said that she starts work on the spin-off for Grey's Anatomy this week. I was hoping that they would bring back Richie (Larry Romano) and Sara Spooner (Lisa Rieffel) and for that I will leave you up in the air to find out. Lou Ferrigno was there and the crowd went nuts when he flexed his 22-1/2" biceps. There wasn't a dry eye on the stage floor (likewise in the audience) and everyone of course was giving hugs and kisses. It was a long day 21 hours in all and only 3 hours sleep so I'm running on empty. If I sound like I'm rambling on, please forgive me. I'll post more when my brain wakes up. BTW any of you that have been to a recent taping and saw the big boat in the stage next to the KOQ stage, that's for the new Brad Pitt and Kate Blanchett movie.
The final scene in KOQ is classic!
May God be with ALL the Heffernan's no matter where you are and just remember you'll always be in our hearts!

sorry it has taken me a while to get online to all of you about the final taping - but it was a very long night and I wanted to tell everyone about the experience while having a clear mind
It was was an amazing time.

When my husband arrived at the studio, at the security gate they were calling out names of ticket holders and lining them up in order and we were fortunate enough to get our passes and head straight over the the sound stage, that was at 3:15. We hung out by the stage, seeing some of the cast (Lou, Kelly, Holly, Ann and others) going about the day getting ready and they were already filming some other scenes. Then when were were escorted into the sound stage, Victor Williams (Deacon) was walking by and I asked if I could take a picture of him and his response was "only if you are in the picture with me" so he tried to climb up the railing but that didn't work so I went down the the floor and got a picture of him and I together (now I will post the pic once I can get it transfered over from my camera) but wow is he tall...... and good looking....

All of the cast looked amazing and reacted to the audience in a very positive and appreciative way, smiling and waving.

Now on to the story line - sorry gang I will only say there are so many twist and turns and laughter and tears. Being that said, this was part 2 of 2, they started the night byshowing us the 1st part to bring us up to speed about the story line.

Lou's was funny with the same line over and over again. Holly was radiant, Spence and Danny were a great duo. Arthur and Ann were amazing. Deacon and Kelly were classy. Carrie was stunning and Doug, well Doug was the King.

Doug had a scene were Carrie pushes him and he falls backwards into a table and falls and pasta goes everywhere. They did that scene 2 times and the second time pasta went in his ear and some went down his vest and it was a riot when the pasta moved down and fell out of his vest, I guess you had to have been there (don't know if that will make the final cut, but we shall see.

At the end of the evening Roger the comedy/mc gave me the script that we worked off of that had all kinds of notes and I am waiting for my contact to get me more copies of the script and pics fromt the cast

I don't really want to go into specifics about the story line because some want to be surprised, but I can tell you all that everyone from the extras to the writers to the cast have not let the show go without giving it their all.

Thank you so much for your recaps. It sounds like it was so much fun and exciting but sad at the same time.

Was there a party for the cast and crew after filming was over? Oh, and did you guys see Entertainment Tonight, Extra, etc there filming anything?

Another cool thing is that there are a lot of references to episodes over the 9 years. It was like walking down memory lane. And yes Carrie does call Doug "Butch" again (I know one of the posters liked that name).

I got the names off the internet. So I put down what I saw. There has to be "Home Cheapo" because I was at that taping. Does anyone know the names of the episodes in the 4 story arc? Are they counting "China Syndrome pt. I" and "China Syndrome pt. II" as two parts of the arc even though they will air as one episode? Anyone know if there is a "Double Trouble" episode?

Yes, and it in episode "Business Affairs", (5th season) when Carrie and Doug are arguing about their "work wifes" Carries says to Doug something like "when I get home you and Deacon are on the sofa with your inside jokes. Hey Eddie!" And then she puts her hand to her mouth (like Doug) to make a farting sound.

watch "mentalo case" and look carefully at doug's jacket when he and spence go to the showroom thing to find a mentalo. the jacket says HEY EDDIE on his right arm. it's right about at 10:15-16, so you can find it quickly (season 5, disc 2). and the logo on the front is like the E on the posters.

the logo is also on his hat he wears at the VERY end of spoor house, when he, carrie and arthur are at the restaurant. that ep was on tonight, and i noticed it.
