If you are having a problem with anything on the board or just can't figure something out, let us know. Someone should be able to help you. ;)
If you want to send a private message you can do so ( to me or one of the Mods), but most problems should be able to be resolved in this forum. And feel free to start a new thread here for your specific problem or question. Others may have the same problem or question and will be able to find the answer in your thread. ;)

Okay, I did it --- plugged in my yahoo email address, and hit the grey request button --- twice now using Netscape, and once using Mozilla. Couldn't reply back when I was in Mozilla, tho...

Log out and then try it again.
You should get an email right away. It will include a link to reset your password. Once you get that password, come back and log in using Mozilla. Hope it works. :)

Hey hey hey.... I just noticed that I'm no longer a JUNIOR!!!!
I'm a full-fledged GUARDIAN!!!!!! Wow!!!! How many posts does it take to become a Guardian?
Do you think it had anything to do with last week's meeting and the 5 trillion e-mails going back and forth because I couldn't remember my password?

Look for User CP on the left side of the blue bar toward the top of the forum.
Click that and then look for Control Panel on the left hand side.
Look for Edit Profile. Click on that, fill in what you want and then save.

He's (jpcanes) good ! ;)
Okay JP, while you are in a helping mood tonight.
You know how some people are about their age. :p
Anywho , I notice some list in their profiles the month/day but no year.
Yet my options doesnt list that as an option. It lists:
display age and dob
display age
hide age and dob
So how could I list the month/day only as some others have.
Maybe you have modified the options since they did :dontgetit:

You just leave the year blank, my friend. It's optional. ;)

Hey there Gerigirl!
I'm not going to give you any defintions.....'cuz I have no clue either! I just click and read, then hit "post reply' and add my two cents.
Some of the other "book educated folk" on this forum will chime in shortly. Post often, and have fun!

Here's one that is giving me trouble:
When I try to post pictures in the photo galleries of another site it lets me browse my pictures and submit them but it gets stuck on the "Preparing to process image list" page and never finishes uploading them. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

example..this is a thread as is the other different topics listed where you can click on and view.
I am sure you are more confused now than when i started explaining..:laughing out loud:

What website(s) are you trying to upload the photo to? It could possible be the Internet connection or the image might be too big.

[I love the power of Wikipedia]
A thread is a collection of posts, usually displayed – by default – from oldest to latest, although the option for a threaded view (a tree-like view applying logical reply structure before chronological order) can be available. A thread is defined by a title, an additional description that may summarise the intended discussion, and an opening or original post (common abbreviation 'OP', which can also mean opening poster) which opens whatever dialogue or makes whatever announcement the poster wished. A thread can contain any number of posts, including multiple posts from the same members, even if they are one after the other.
A thread is contained in a forum, and is displayed in chronological order from newest to oldest, where the date is taken as the date of the last post (options to order threads by other criteria are generally available). When a member posts in a thread it will jump to the top since it is the latest updated thread. Similarly, other threads will jump in front of it when they receive posts. When a member posts in a thread for no reason but to have it go to the top, it is referred to as a bump or bumping. Threads which are important but rarely receive posts are stickyed (or, in some software, 'pinned'). A sticky thread will always appear in front of normal threads, often in its own section.
A thread's popularity is measured on forums in reply (total posts minus one – the opening post) counts. Some forums also track page views. Threads meeting a set number of posts or a set number of views, preset by the forums administrators, receives the name of "hot thread" and usually display a different icon compared to others threads, not meeting the criteria.
You can find more about Internet forums also on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_forum).

I'll try resizing the pictures & see if that works. If it's the connection what should I try doing? Thanks for the help!
