Name change to: 'The Talk'

So already things have changed! It is not "The Mom Project" anymore, it is called “The Talk”. We are not competing with The View as we are not even on against them. However, we can only pray to be as successful as the View has been and continues to be.

Please don’t any one make plans to be at the taping yet because we have no date. And I don’t want to get in to another dealio where folks are pissed at me!

Speaking of the view, I was channel surfing this morning and saw it on, I actually never watched it before so decided to check it. My first image i see is Whoopi Goldberg talking about cupcakes and shoving all kinds of them in her mouth with some guy explaining the flavors to her. I was like I guess thats cool.. I went to go get something to eat and 20 minutes later I come back they are still talkin about friggin cupcakes and Whoppi now with more than one in her hand is shoving them in her mouth, moaning and getting all happy about some cupcakes. Didnt she eat before the show start? lol


Now everytime I think of The View the first thing thats gonna come to my mind is Whoopi Goldberg stuffing her face with cupcakes.

Whoopi always does that during a cooking or food segment. She walks on the set, grabs something to eat and shoves it in her mouth. LOL Too bad Elisabeth Hasselbeck can't have a permanent muffin shoved in her mouth during the whole show. That chick is whack!

So question for someone.... I REALLY want to go to the first taping Oct 18th, so JP or Leah or any ticket scalpers creepin out there...will you let me know asap how and when I can make that happen! I just realized yesturday that it's only 2 months away. Now that seems like a long time...but we all know those tickets are gonna go fast. And if I can't be there to cheer Leah on for her first time back on TV, then I'm gonna be one very sad mama. :(

I've never watched The View...as I pretty much banned myself from all TV for the past couple years while I finished up my degree. (not including KOQ dvd of course) But I always heard about The View in the news so I got the idea of what the show was like.
There seemed to be a lot of heated debates, ect. But part of me likes that, like I enjoy hearing everyones side to something because it makes me think "hmmm now that I've heard both sides what do I think now that I understand where the other person is coming from?" And a talk show is a more casual/fun way to be informed about stuff. Sometimes the news can be a bit depressing so it is good to hear about a few current hot topics.
I'm interested to see what the topics are on The Talk and I think it would be fun to chat about them on here. But there may be topics that are against LRG protocol to discuss, since some stuff is touchy. But I think if we all let eachother give their view and not get pissed at someone's opinion it could be fun.
Personally I call myself a independent liberal conservative cuz for every issue out there I have a different opinion. And I don't see any reason to get pissed at someone who is entitled to their opinion. Plus getting hateful toward someone definitely won't change their mind, ya know?
Anyways...I'm pretty bored right now being on vacation at my folks farm back in WI...they all go to bed at 9pm. So here I am chatting away to myself. Time to go read a book. So goodnight!

Yep, it's been a year, and my memories are still fresh. I can't forget sitting right next to Leah, with my heart pounding heavily. It's hard for me to go to her site or here, cause I miss her so. I hope you guys understand. This has been a tough year for my wife and daughter. My daughter is now in the middle of a divorce and came home with my grandson for a few months. I was supposed to retire 1 Sept this year, but now can't afford to. The next time I have the opportunity to see Leah, I'm going to appreciate it more. I yearn for the day to see my friend again. I'm so glad Leah has a show. Now I can see her on TV other than KofQ. I also miss all you guys, don't think I don't. I just thought you needed a break from me. I can be opinionated at times.:) Take care Leah and all Leah's friends.......

As for the View and their different opinions and such Rebecca, I have no problem enjoying hearing people and their various opinions on various topics. That is what makes the world an interesting place. The problem with the View is those ladies don't allow someone to finish a sentence. That is annoying. They talk over each other and it makes it hard to hear anyone give their opinion. Second, they don't always research and they just spew out nonsense as if it is fact. Sherri Sheppard spewed out some nonsense about HIV and gay sex. Where the hell has she been for the last twenty years? Under a rock? Sherri gave out incorrect information and no one called her out on it. Shame on the View and the producers. That kind of misinformation should not be tolerated. There are many times the ladies give out wrong information including making accusations about famous people when it is simply gossip.

Also, Whoopi had the infamous moment where she stated Roman Polanski did not commit "rape-rape"...he committed unlawful sex with a child. Okay. In my book, no child gives consent to sex. Period. Call it what you want Whoopi, it is still rape. There are way too many instances where the View has been in hot water and they are too numerous to mention.

As for the news of this talk show being filmed in NYC, of course I am not happy at all. :( I was looking forward to seeing Leah at a taping again. I wonder how this will affect Leah's home life since she must spend all week in New York?

Wow that is crap Irene. Yeah I figured everyone knew when I said I like opinions that it meant for an issue that was subjective. People who think that everything that flies out of their mouth is fact would piss me off too. Especially when talking about someone else....then they better have their facts right. And I always think that someone should only say something they are willing to say to someones face. Hurtful gossip is the red light that I'm dealing with someone who is incredibly immature, then I pretty much tune out the rest of what they have say.

Still trying to get to the first taping Oct 18th. I found a site that said you can either check at the studio the day of to get tickets or write to request them. Can't believe there isn't an online option.
I went to the Price is Right at this same studio years ago, we just showed up the day of and we got in, but I swear it was like a 4 hour ordeal all before 8am...I remember sleeping on the sidewalk with some friends cuz we were so tired. So when we finally got in for the taping we were pretty much too tired to cheer and be all crazy like you're suppose to be on Price is Right.
BUT it would be well worth it to see The Talk!

You just reminded me Rebecca of when my husband, my daughter, his nephew and cousin went to a taping of the Price is Right. They left here at 5 a.m. to get to the studio by 6 a.m. They were so damn tired by the time they came home.:eek:

I hope to meet some of you this time around at this talk show taping. I didn't get a chance to see most of you last year when you all came out, but I did have the pleasure of meeting Ryan and Mike. What a blast we had!! Great memories. I look forward to a taping. I can't wait! :jmac:

But then for daily talk shows they always seem to be very up-to-date on current events. Like when a contestant gets voted off American Idol, they'd usually be on Ellen within the next couple days. But this must take lots of work to get it ready so quick, never really thought about it. Anyone smart know this? As in JP do you know this?;)

So if they can do late night talk shows right on the spot like that, I imagine it might be the same for the morning talk shows.
