Add Leah Remini to the list of CBS talk show hosts. According to Deadline TV, the actress has been added to the hosting lineup of CBS's upcoming View-esque chat-fest, which is in the running to replace As The World Turns in September. Along with Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Julie Chen (wife of CBS chairman Les Moonves), Remini will delve into topics through a mom's perspective. This isn't the first show The King of Queens star has hosted. In 2007, she hosted nine webisodes of In The Motherhood with late night talk show host Chelsea Handler and Jenny McCarthy

I am going to remain cautiously optimistic. :)

Really think Leah would be GREAT on a show like this!

Bonus: I'm sure they would have a studio audience. ;)

Think of it like this "it will be picked up !" They need a show for majority of women for this slot since it's taking over a soap opera. There will be an audience, that's a given. A talk show with no audience would be boring

This show WILL BE the one where Leah is back in action !

Thanks for the post Ryan !

I won't wish, but I will EXPECT her show to be picked up. I miss her so.

This show will be much better than that crapfest THE VIEW. I can't stand Elisabeth Hasselbeck and she gets away with so much of her crap and her lies. It will be nice to see a talk show of women who will give each other respect and be outspoken without giving each other grief. Like you Mike, I too expect Leah to be on television again. :D

JP any behind the scenes information as to tapings and tickets?

The show actually has to happen first.
Then we'll see. ;)

She would be soooooo fun to listen to on a talk show. How do they decide this...do they actually have to tape a few talk shows to test the waters like they did a pilot?

That is what I was wondering myself. I figured there has to be some tapings in order to see how it will work out or if it will be picked up. That is why I want to know so I can attend a taping.

So, I came across this article earlier about Valerie Bertinelli filming her pilot

Competition is heating up for the timeslot that will be vacated when the CBS daytime soap opera 'As The World Turns' ends it long run in September. The newest entry: a talk show co-hosted by Valerie Bertinelli.

According to 'Broadcasting & Cable,' CBS Television Distribution filmed a pilot last month for 'Say It Now' (working title), as a possible replacement for the soap.

A live and daily talk show, the pilot was co-hosted by Bertinelli, who is currently starring in the TV Land sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland' and has a development deal with CTD, and Rove McManus, who hosts a popular talk show in Australia. No other information was given about the show's content or if a live audience would be involved in the program.
'Say It Now' isn't a clear lock to replace 'ATWT,' as it is one of many shows currently vying for the soap's timeslot. Competitors include remakes of classic game shows 'Pyramid' and 'Password' and a 'View'-style show that would star Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete and Sharon Osbourne.

No word from CBS when a decision will be made.

UHM, first off 2010 called and they said they want the show style to be within this decade :laughing out loud: They already have a show like that and Wayne Brady is the host. What would you choose a group of beautiful ladies talkin bout a whole lot of good stuff or a show for senior citizens (not to mention that kind of show in that time slot) ? This is nothin even in comparison and this game show with VB as host stands will receive a
