Hey Party People at The LRG,

I know it has been a while since I wrote. Things change when you have a five year old who started Kindergarten. Thank goodness I am not working that much right now because I am all consumed in my daughters’ life!

On the work side, I currently have a deal at ABC which means that I am looking for projects that are there, at that network. It feels so nice to be able to call ABC home again being that, that is where I started my career with Living Dolls in 1989.

I wrote a book… I know you are going to ask “about what?” It is really not about anything, just my life, my take on Motherhood, being a wife, etc. It is more like essays than anything else. When does it come out? Who knows! We had a deal with a publisher that fell through and now we are looking at other publishers so as soon as I know, you will know. Feel free to write me anything you WISH the book was about. As always, I love to hear your thoughts.

I still watch you daily via re-runs on "King of Queens" & I am upset you are not in any of Kevin's movies:( But I have been LIVING to see you on your new network sitcom.
I have also been PRAYING that God would put you back on Prime Time...just waiting for an answer:) I will buy your book as soon as it comes out! And "FYI" ~ ABC is my FAVORITE NETWORK ~ they have the BEST sitcoms running! If I were you, I would try to go for an hour long show, as 30 minutes of you just is not enough! I think maybe they pulled "Hank" off of Wednesday night 8pm slot, so perhaps there is a spot for you? You are creative enough to throw in your own production...maybe hubby could be your "Ricky" & you could be the new "Lucy"??? Just a thought:) Okay, so you start with a 30 minute slot & your fans go wild & demand they stretch you out for an entire hour...not unheard of!!! ABC knows a good thing when they see it, so stick with them, sweetie & we will have you back on sooner than later! Happy Holidays!!!

If you do a book tour, keep Southeastern WI in mind ;) . Actually, anywhere in the Midwest would work. I don't mind having to travel to see you :).

I hope you'll have another meeting with your fans, because I missed the last one. I wanted to tell you that you have another fan - my friend Renee from Australia. Her first visit to the U.S. and guess who has ALL the King of Queen seasons? Hm, yep. So, she knew about the show, but it was on in Australia too late for her to watch (with work and all). She wrote me the other day and she went out and bought seasons 1-2-3
Isn't that great!?! I told her she needs to meet you one day. She said you are a really funny actress and do a great job! She was laughing a lot when she was here watching the shows! Renee currently does not have the internet - as it is VERY expensive to live in Australia. Otherwise, she would be on LRG!

Thanks for the update Leah!

So has Sophia beat up any of the boys yet? ;) Hope she is having fun and not catching any super bugs from the other little monkeys. I once worked at a preschool and got so sick all the time, but years later I rarely get sick now thanks to that painful boost to my immune system.

Well I have a 3 week break from my classes coming up around Christmas so can we see that book done by then? :laughing out loud: Just kidding. Good luck with the haggling. We're so proud of you!

As for topics that I WISH you wrote about...

I actually wanted to ask you this at the Bash last summer. What was it was like for you to drop out of school at such a young age and then the process of making it as an actor? Like your doubts, fears, ect.
Currently I am pursing a second degree and have been in school now for 17 years and still get frustrated with trying to make it in a "career" that I love and not settling. I love that part of your story of how you didn't give up on your dreams. That topic would be the most encouraging to me personally.
And I always wondered how you got to be such a natural at acting! Most actors have had professional training since they were little and they still can't do what you do! What was all the hard work off the stage that made you become what you were during the beginning stages of your career? I think people forget/don't think about that part and think you just got it easy being famous. But I know the time spent working off the stage takes hard work, dedication, and sacrifices. What was that like on a daily basis?

How do you feel you have to raise children differently today than when you were a child.
Your good/negative experiences with fans and people you've meet in the industry.
Not sure if you would ever talk about struggles that you face being married, might be too personal, but I enjoy hearing about women who relate to what hard work it is to make a marriage work.

i am SUPER excited to read your book. keith (my husband) said we will be more then willing to publish your book, if you don't mind it just typed up on the computer and stapled together... HAHAHA but congrats for writing it and i'm wishing you much much luck on getting the right publisher :)

our christmas decorations have been up since the day before thanksgiving. keith's schedule was busy so we had to get them up when he was around. but the lights, decorations, tree, and all are up. i hope you post some pictures of your tree, i loved the picture you had on your website of your dining room decorated for sofia's halloween party! :D

And on your tree selection - when I was young, my baby sister and I walked a half mile to go and buy a real tree. We took hours to pick the best tree. I have never forgot those moments. I treasure them, as I'm sure you will treasure your adventure with Sofia.
As far as decorations around our house. We don't do them any more. But I appreciate those that do. My wife and I travel miles to view those that do go overboard and decorate. They are so beautiful. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas, Leah.

Christmas is here I can't friggen believe it is here so soon I felt like summer was just over.... This is my favorite holiday & my birthday is in Dec. too so i love this month. I decorated all weekend just finished up todday, I go all out with lights, the villages and a huge tree it takes us days to deorate but its defiinitly worth it. I had poor Tommy actually hang white lights all around the house on Sat then sun night i went to walmart and found these new Led lights that are multi color and so bright he was up changing them on the ladder outside again at 11pm... he wants to kill me :laughing out loud:
Well I hope all is well & I know you will have a ball picking out a tree with Sofia I bet she is so excited. Now thats she's getting older she understands more this is the fun time! Love Lucia

P.S. Take Sofia this winter to NY and come & see the Tree in rockefeller center its up till Jan 10th around there they actually will be lighting it tomorrow, come on we could meet you there and I bet she would love it, you can take her ice skating & go see the Christmas show too! I know it has been a while since I wrote. Things change when you have a five year old who started Kindergarten. Thank goodness I am not working that much right now because I am all consumed in my daughters’ life!

On the work side, I currently have a deal at ABC which means that I am looking for projects that are there, at that network. It feels so nice to be able to call ABC home again being that, that is where I started my career with Living Dolls in 1989.

I wrote a book… I know you are going to ask “about what?” It is really not about anything, just my life, my take on Motherhood, being a wife, etc. It is more like essays than anything else. When does it come out? Who knows! We had a deal with a publisher that fell through and now we are looking at other publishers so as soon as I know, you will know. Feel free to write me anything you WISH the book was about. As always, I love to hear your thoughts.
