My co-workers totally agree with you about Tatiana, and have been complaining about her all morning. Definitely glad to have missed her because you know how I feel about whining :laughing out loud:. They all like Danny, Stephen and Jasmine as well. They told me that the Philly girl (Joanna?) forgot the words every single week, but she does have a good singing voice, and is attractive which often helps. I may have to break down and start watching it next week so I'm familiar with everyone's names at least by the time it gets down to 12. I also need to see the new judge in action. I've been reading mixed reviews about her.

I finally started watching Idol seriously this week.

Tonight I really liked Allison (Alone ~ Heart) and Adam (Satisfaction ~ Rolling Stones). Megan is positively gorgeous, and has a lot of potential, but I didn't love her choice of song (Put Your Records On ~ Corrine Bailey Rae). They would be my top 3.

Actually I think there were quite a few performers tonight that had potential, but made very bad song choices which did nothing to showcase their voice. I seriously wish that the contestants would consult with professionals about which types of songs suit their voices. I'm far from a professional, but I think I could do pretty well at that job. :rolleyes:

My only complaint about Adam: I don't think Mick Jagger would be caught dead with all those gold chains around his neck! :laughing out loud:

I'd never seen Matt nor Jasmine before, but could tell they had real talent. They simply had bad song choices for their voices and styles.

I loved Allison, her performance was awesome. So far she's my favorite from the 24 we've seen in the past 2 weeks. I'll have to wait to see the next 12 to make my official top pick. Of course Danny makes my heart tug since he is from WI and I almost tear up every time he sings because of the death of his wife.

Okay. I just finished watching the "Idol" wild card show. I'm very happy with the people chosen to continue competeing. I was very surprised to see that they made it a top 13 instead of a top 12. Way to make me want to tune in next week. Three cheers for Megan!

Tatiana is the most annoying contestant in Idol history, IMO.

Wow, she did pretty good. Watching her on the Sober House program, she has gained lots of weight but obviously her thin built had to do with drinking and doing cocaine. She wrote a song about her mother and she sang it. It sounded beautiful. It brought a tear to my eye.:(

Leah as a Judge on American Idol?


Did anyone see Leah Remini recently on Entertainment Tonight (or one of those shows, Access Hollywood, The Insider~I'm not sure?) at that charity event in NYC for the 9/11 Rescue Workers? Where she was talking with Simon Cowell who was also there about possibly being a guest Judge on American Idol? :confused:

They seemed to be getting along great and Simon said that would be fun and that she could sit behind him--then Leah said, "why not just give Kara the night off and I'll sit on the panel with you?" :laughing out loud:

I think Leah would be an awesome Judge--I don't really like Kara anyway (she just doesn't fit in). Leah would be the perfect smart a$$ to go at it with Simon--I know she's a big fan of the show, I think she would be a perfect replacement for Kara FULL TIME!!

Anyway, did anyone else see the footage with Simon from that charity event where they're talking about it? :confused: I looked for a clip of it on youtube to post but I couldn't find it.:(

Allison kicked major a$% as usual...I love her spunk and hope she wins it all.
Danny is my #2 man...has to be, from WI and he has a unique voice. He was so cute when he danced with the back up singers. I want to pinch his cheeks...but I wanna pinch most of the guy's cheeks after they sang to Motown tunes.
I couldn't stand Adam's performance, not a fan of him singing a slow song I think.
Thought Lil Rounds sounded great and picked the perfect song. I gotta say that I'm somewhat racist...ain't nobody can sing like black women...they got soul and can nail those high notes! I'm jealous.
I don't like Scott's voice...too whiny or something. Nice guy though and he can play the piano great.
I was entertained by Megan. She is so cute, she looked like a Barbie doll. I like how different she is, more of a classy voice. I think she'll stay another week.

Adam was the bomb last night!!! Because I tuned in late, I thought I missed him, but he came on near the end. I've always been a fan of Smokey, and Tracks of My Tears is my absolute favorite so I wasn't sure Adam could do it justice. He made that song his own, and damn, he looked FINE!!!!

Megan looked gorgeous as always, and I loved how her adorable dress kind of matched her tatoo. However, her song - uuuuuuugggggggghhhhhh! :eek: Yes, you're all right, and Megan should be leaving us tonight.

Those are my picks for the final 3 too.

The way I judge them is to not think about what they look like but just imagine who I'd like to listen to most on the radio while driving (like I would be after they make their album). If I use that criteria then I say Alison should win hands down--that girl has unbelievable pipes for a 16 year old!! She has something unique and special in her voice like a Stevie Nicks or Bonnie Rait.

The problem is most of the people that vote for AI are going by looks as much as voice, so that's why I think the winner will be Adam. He's good, I just think Alison is better--if she would just get a make over and soften up her look and quit trying to look like 30 year old hardened rocker instead of a 16 year old kid she might be able to win...but I think she's going to insist on keeping her 'look' just like Bo Bice did and end up losing.

Danny has got a chance too, he's very likable and easy to root for but he doesn't seem to have found his own niche.

I still think Adam will walk away the winner this year--I didn't think much of him at first but he's improved almost every week and has lots of dimensions to his performances.

Geno, I totally agree that Matt's performance last night came off as corny. I believe both he and Lil will be the ones to get voted off tonight. As usual, my top 3 are Adam, Allison and Danny. I really liked Adam's cover of "If I Can't Have You", but I thought he slowed it down just a tiny bit too much. His voice is amazing however, and I think he can sing anything. David Archuletta is tonight's guest. :)

I respect that there was actually dancing known for that era.
I really I envy any decade where there were signature dances for the times. I really like even the earlier decades where there was the fox trot, swing, jive, sock hop, ect. I think it is so cute and a more "pure" way of having fun. Now when I go to out to a club there is just grinding when isn't exactly something I want to teach my kids some day. :rolleyes:
