Was reading this (http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/getback/83062/brain-itch-songs/) at Yahoo.
Songs get stuck in my head all the time for whatever reason... especially at work.
Today's list:
1. Biggest Part Of Me - Ambrosia
2. There's Been A Change - Exile
3. Little Lies - Fleetwood Mac
One of the biggest 'brain itch' songs that I can think of that wasn't on Yahoo's
list would have to be: Why Can't We Be Friends (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMac-TUadWQ) by WAR.
Why Can't We Be Friends is repeated, like, 40 something times throughout the song.

Hey now, I love WAR. I have seen them in concerts so many times. The last time was in August. :D
It's hard for me to say what songs get stuck in my head because I don't know until it happens.:laughing out loud: Although I have had so many songs get stuck in my head over the years.
I think the worst are songs you absolutely hate but for some reason you heard a part of it or all of it.  Like when you are waiting somewhere to be tended to and they have music playing...oy vey.

So do I!
But ya gotta admit, Why Can't We Be Friends is a bit repetitive. :laughing out loud:

I get that song advertising Target "This is a brand new day" stuck in my head. lol!
Funny this thread got started otday. At work, they rotate the radio. Rock one day and country the next.
Today was country day and they played the song that contains the lyrics :
"here's to the past, they can kiss my glass"
I hummed that the rest of the day.

When I use my honey's car, there are stations pre-programmed that play that song a lot. Man I hear about a minute of that song and I am doomed! I will be hearing it for a while in my head.

I can't get Kanye West's Paranoid out of my head.
The regular mix (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUH7hlFYnxQ)
And the mix I play: Kanye West - Paranoid.mp3 (http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/24/237978/Kanye%20West%20-%20Paranoid.mp3)
Here is true story about a song that got in the head.
This is about a song and MRS JMAC. First let me say that, MRSJMAC ( name is Holly ) isnt a big music listener. She has a tape or two in her car but very seldom listens to them and certainly never has radio on.
She wants to be able to concentrate fully on the road. Well....a few years ago, she had got off work around 7 AM. Her job allows the radio to play and rotates each day between country and rock. So basically the only music she heard was at work.
That day she left work around 7 AM after working around 14 hours one summer night. The sun had just came up and she drifted off to sleep going down the highway. Ran off the road and down a steep hill. Ran thru a brush pile ( parts of trees cut up etc) at what an officer estimated at 100 MPH coming down the hill. Totally totaled our car but thankfully she was okay :) except for shaken and bruises.
Back then , one of the top songs in the land was Uncle Kracker's "Follow Me" . Our radio station played it over and over.
Anywho...she later told me, she was "drifting off to sleep" hearing that song play in her head. (radio not on). She said the words were so clear and she didnt even like the song.
So that song which did have a catchy tune to it obviously caught her subconscious as she was singing it in her mind while driving down a hill.
Later...we found out one reason she drifted off to sleep so easily was she was pregnant with our daughter. Both were safe thru the wreck and that song qualifies as one she "got stuck in her head " .
While reading this thread, I thought I would share that. :)

Mr. Jmaccer I'm glad no one was hurt ! That sounds like one h-e- double hockey sticks of a scare  .
My honey and I went out to enjoy ourselves the other night on the Strip and I must say the place was packed. I captured some great photos and they are available to view on my Myspace. Anyways, we went to this outside bar like right by a fountain with some FANTASTIC salsa music. I tell you what the drinks were FANTASTIC, the social scene was GREAT and the music was AWESOME. I couldn't understand the words, but people the actual music was enough to keep you on your feet all night ;) I will have to upload a photo of the spot over the weekend.
As far as a song being stuck in my head Kanye West "Touch the Sky"

The song " tootsie roll" has been stuck in my head the past few days... I dunno why its suddenly stuck in my head.. This song came out around 1994.. I was only 9 years old then but remember it really well.

...all the kids at my school use to sing and do this dance. I remember my sister trying to teach it to me but I slipped and landed straight on my face:laughing out loud: I had the hand movements for it though. But I use to remember pep rallys at school and this song would break out and people would just go crazy. I miss the 90's:(
