Your all probably gonna laugh at me but "Candyman" is one of the scariest movies for me. Probably the reason why I don't watch scary movies at all.

JAWS...mind you, I saw this movie when I was 10 years old in the theater. It scared the bejesus outta me and I was so damn afraid to go to the beach.:laughing out loud:
The Exorcist...nuff said.
Silence of the Lambs...I watched that for the first time at home when I was alone in the dark.:( I am not scared anymore, but the first time I was.

Yeah, my ma told me that people were afraid to go into the water because of the "Jaws" movie.
I've never seen the "Silence of the Lambs" or "The Exorcist".

But any other movie doesnt scare me,
Nightmare on elm street doesnt scare me because I LOVE FREDDIE :) I can watch him over and over. No lie
Halloween didnt scared me that much.
Friday the 13th, Def didnt scare me cause he's just like Michael Myers lol

OMG, I forgot about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That was scary as hell and needs to get added to my list along with The Blair With Project.
It's the older movies that tend to be the best scary movies. Let me add two more: Trilogy of Terror starring Karen Black. One movie with three different stories. The one that scared me was about a voodoo doll that comes to life and chases her (Karen Black) down in her apartment. Another is Dr. Terror's House of Horrors. It came out in the 60's. Another movie with three different stories. One of which was about an artist who was run down by a car and his hand was severed. That hand wreaked havoc on the man who ran down the artist. It was ALIVE!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I can't watch movies that are like that....they freak me out!
I agree KingLover ! I watched "The Shining" and that kid riding up and down the hallway and...........eeekkk ...that was enough for me ! :p

One that came out in the 80's was called 'The Step-Father" starring that bald guy Terry McQuinn now on Lost. I think that's his last name.
You want to see one scary nut job, find & watch this one.

I love the older Horror movies. Not a real big fan of newer ones coming out!
1. Origional Halloween!
2. Night/Dawn/ and Day of the Dead. The origional ones. I am from Pittsburgh after all. I have to represent a little.
3. The origional Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
4. The Town that Dreaded Sundown.
5. Origional Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy is a very origional character.
I'm also going to give an honorable mention to House of a 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. Way to go Rob Zombie. Good Job!

I've seen a few of them. I don't know if it's only me, but I found myself kind of bored. I don't know if that's the right word. I know that some of them have to be real, but I'm not sure about some of them. I can't deny the fact that for the most part, the stuff is pretty gruesome. Which, even to the most die hard horror fans can get a little redundant. I'd like to see them again though, it's been a while.

I found out years after the fact, that some of the stuff on there is fake. But there are things on there that can't be nothing but real. Such as the executions or the animal abuse. Ugh, when I first saw those tapes, I got so sick to my stomach I swear, I was ready to puke. I was nauseated.:(

That scene still scares me. I have NO CLUE WHATSOEVER what that whole scene is about where we see Shelly Duvall's character going up the stairs and she comes upon someone in a bear costume who is performing an "act" upon another man. WTH??? I was reading up on that movie and found something interesting. I don't know if this is in fact what the director was trying to do:
http://www.drummerman.net/shining/essays.html
Did you know the little boy in that movie never did any more acting work? He is now a school teacher somewhere. He has kept a low profile because he loves his privacy.
