Size Limit on the Pictures?

I was wondering why the size limit was so small on the picture attachments? The few that I posted, I had to crop them down alot. Is there anyway to make the limits larger? Or is there a different way to post pictures from your computer files onto the site? Thanks!

I know, I wish it weren't so difficult. It is for me. I am used to just using the UPLOAD PIC attachment without having to resort to using Photobucket. I hate using Photobucket. It is just too many steps to have to retrieve a pic that way when I can use the feature here, but getting that error message about the pic size leaves me frustrated.:(
